Watch DC's best mixologists duke it out at Sound Bites. Look for delicious cocktail concoctions from these fine establishments. This year's judges include Todd Thrasher (PX, Bar TNT), Fritz Hahn (The Washington Post's Going Out Guru), and Chef Anthony Lombardo (1789 Restaurant).

Join DC Central Kitchen for #triviabites, a Twitter-powered challenge to test your knowledge of DC’s restaurant and bar scene. The grand prize winner will become the 4th judge for the live, on-stage bar battle at Sound Bites on May 19th, 2013.

Starting on April 24th and ending on May 3rd, participants following @SoundbitesDCCK on Twitter will have the opportunity to answer questions about DC’s top bars and restaurants. Every correct answer will count as an entry in the drawing for the grand prize. The runners up will be offered Sound Bites tickets and DC Central Kitchen t-shirts.

To participate, follow @SoundbitesDCCK on Twitter and tweet responses to the questions with the hashtag #triviabites.

Details

Between April 24th and May 3rd, there will be two questions each day (one at 8:30 am and one at 4:00 pm).
Participants must answer correctly before the next question is posted to get an entry.
Winners will be announced on May 6th via @SoundbitesDCCK on Twitter.
The grand prize winner will become the 4th judge of the Mixology battle with general admission for one friend.
Judges get to taste the drinks and vote for the winning bars!
The second place prize is 2 tickets to Sound Bites.
The third place prize is a DC Central Kitchen T-Shirt.
Participants must be 21 years old + to be eligible to win.

About Sound Bites

Sound Bites is an outdoor street festival at the historic 9:30 Club that celebrates local food and music while raising funds to fight hunger and poverty in Washington, DC. On Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 1 p.m., 1,000 guests will enjoy tastings from 25 top area restaurants, hear 7 hot local music acts, and witness an elite mixology competition between DC's most talented bartenders. All proceeds benefit event organizer DC Central Kitchen.
